Graduated from the University of Minnesota
with Bachelor of Science in Business and
Commissioned as an Ensign, U. S. Navy
through the NROTC Regular Program.

1959-1961

Under instruction in carrier jet aircraft flight
training. Awarded Naval Aviator Wings.

1961-1964

Flight and Safety Officer in Attack Squadron
One Hundred Fifty Three (VA-153). Made
two carrier deployments to WESTPAC in
Carrier Air Group 15 aboard USS Coral
Sea (CVA-43).

1964-1965

Assistant Professor of Naval Science at NROTC
Unit, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.
Instructed freshman students in Naval History
and Orientation.

1965-1967

Personnel Officer, Landing Signal Officer and
Advanced Jet Flight Instructor in Training
Squadron Twenty Four (VT-24)
Chase Field NAS, Beeville, TX.

1967-1970

Administrative Division Officer, Carrier Jet
Pilot and Landing Signal Officer in Attack

on USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31).

to Vietnam on various carriers.
